What exactly do I get when I book The Long Weekend?At least 2 hours of live music and a free disco service until midnight as standard which can be suited to your taste. Professional lighting for the stage area and dance floor. State of the art audio equipment. Full public liability insurance and PAT testing.

How much does The Long Weekend cost?Guide price £1460-£1660 Price can vary depending on distance from Cardiff, the date of event and size of event (dictating the amount of equipment we need to bring). Please don’t be afraid to ask us for a personal quote, there’s absolutely no obligation to proceed, and you’d be surprised at just how competitive we really are. We are happy to create a tailor-made package based entirely on your vision and budget.

Is there a deposit to pay?In order to secure a booking, a deposit of 20% is payable and on receiving this we will send you a booking confirmation so you can rest easy knowing you’ve secured a night of fantastic entertainment! The remainder of the fee is then required 30 days before the event takes place. Receipts are sent for both deposits and final payments.

Do I need to book a DJ separately?The Long Weekend always supply a disco for when they are not on stage, until midnight. We have a range of eras and genres of music available and requests from guests can be submitted on the night. If you are looking for a specific vibe or non-mainstream artists then please check with us beforehand to avoid any disappointment on the night. We are more than happy to create playlists specifically to suit your taste.

How Long does The Long Weekend take to set up?We do our best to get the job done as quickly as possible but you cannot rush perfection! We’d rather spend the time getting things completely right and know we are delivering the best possible sound for the room we’re playing in. We require up to 90 minutes to set up the show but it is usually quicker. The band will also need up to 60 minutes to de-rig immediately afterwards.

Where can I see The Long Weekend play live ?As we are mainly a wedding/function band, the majority of our gigs are private events. We do however aim to schedule at least 3 public events throughout the year so please do not hesitate to contact us so we can tell you when and where our next one will be.

How far will The Long Weekend travel to perform?We are happy to travel to wherever we are needed, and will even travel abroad if it is possible. We will establish the distance and time required from our HQ to your venue when you make your enquiry, and will factor the costs attached to this into the quote.

Can I help choose the songs?We have extensive experience in all types of events and we take pride in carefully putting together a set-list full of crowd-pleasers and floor-fillers based on many years of watching dancefloors! You’ve chosen us because you like what we do, so let us take care of the set-list so you can concentrate on enjoying yourself! Please do however let us know if you have a first dance or special request. If it’s a song that isn’t suitable for us to play live we can play the track through our PA.

What do I need to provide on the day?The band's standard rider is detailed in the booking terms and conditions available here www.thelongweekendmusic.co.uk/t-c We require an unloading area near to the access point of the area we are performing in, plus 2 parking spaces. To perform, we require 4 x 13 Amp plug sockets from 2 separate spurs and a safe performance area, ideally this should be at least 5m wide x 2.5m deep. If playing outdoors, overhead cover needs to be provided if there is a chance of bad weather. Finally, we require a hot meal or buffet and soft drinks to be provided for each band member to give us the energy to give your guests the entertainment they will remember forever!
